Management 652 - Leadership

November 24th, 2008 by RVD · 3 Comments

Ok, I know I wrote below that I was satisfied with my grade.  Well, I was out of town on vacation for a week and I came back home on Saturday to find my Management final in the mail.  I thought I totally bombed the final but I ended up doing ok.  Now that I […]

Management 652 - Leadership

November 11th, 2008 by RVD · No Comments

Grades are posted in Penn In Touch.
I’m satisfied with my grade.  Professor Useem is an excellent professor but the grading is completely random.  I think professor Useems strongest point is his ability to engage and classroom discussion.  I have heard a lot of random complaints from students about the lack of insight into grading though.  […]

Class 34 is going to Madrid!

November 10th, 2008 by Umer · No Comments

I tend to skip out on many of the WEMBA social activities because of alcohol - the sad part is that it excludes me from 99.9% of the events. I found a support system of non-drinkers who were happy to setup an alcohol-free table on the Hornblower cruise on Friday night.  The cruise was great […]

4 week break!

November 9th, 2008 by RVD · No Comments

This program does not have any major breaks for 2 years.  When one term ends, you get your textbooks on the last day and the next term starts up 2 weeks later.  So there’s no such thing as Spring break or Summer break or Winter break.  But this is how they are able to fit […]

Top 30 electives

November 7th, 2008 by Umer · No Comments

Elective selection is quite important in the WEMBA program because with the exception of two classes, the second year consists entirely of electives. Unlike many EMBA programs, which have limited flexibility in electives, Wharton not only has an incredible number of slots for electives, there is also a large elective variety. The best part? Students […]

Stacey / Larry / Ali / Zohaib, this post is for you!
With Wharton EMBA applications due on February 1, I have been asked by a few people about how I prepared for the GMAT. What follows is the recipe that I used. Keep in mind that each person has their own unique study style, so […]

Orange County Admissions Reception

November 5th, 2008 by Umer · No Comments

Potential Wharton West EMBA candidates from Orange County (or nearby): There is only one admissions reception held in Orange County, and it is on November 19, 6pm-8pm. Register here if you are interested. I would have loved to attend as a current student, but I will be on vacation in Pakistan. Due to a Thanksgiving […]
