Hopefully most of you read the “official” Wharton MBA for Executives blog. It is at http://www.whartonexecutivemba.com/whartonexecutivemba_blog/. Although I like to think that I write more of an entertaining blog, that link is the official blog so it should also be read regularly.
I found it interesting that they updated it with our class profile. Up until a few weeks ago, it still had the class of 2009 information there.
Our class profile is at: http://www.wharton.upenn.edu/mbaexecutive/community/class_profile/class_profile.cfm
Since our trip to Philadelphia is only a month away, I thought it’d be interesting to compare some stats.
1) Philly has more students 115-93. My assumption is that since they are on the full campus, they have more resources available and can accomodate more students.
2) Philly is strong in finance. We have much less finance and much more technology (since we’re in Silicon Valley).
3) West is a much more local program with a higher percentage of Bay Area people that Philly has Philly people.
4) Salaries are similar (about $225k). GMAT, work experience, advanced degrees, etc. are also similar.
It should be fun meeting our East Coast counterparts next month.
