Wharton MBA for Executives

A little over a week ago I bought a new printer and a handheld scanner. I wrote about it here.

Well, the stuff arrived. I’ve had about a week to play with the printer and scanner and here are my findings.

The printer rocks! This is an awesome printer. It’s laser so it’s much faster than my old inkjet and it has a flatbed for copying and scanning. It has a feed tray for copying and scanning into pdf. But the best thing is duplex printing! I didn’t think I’d care so much but duplex printing is awesome. I print 2 pages per sheet on each side so one piece of paper holds 4 pages! This is by far one of the best things I have purchased in recent months. The price was about $250 (although it looks like some people have been buying these for $200). I have not used the PDF scanning or the fax portion yet. I will highly recommend this printer for anyone who is looking to get a new printer.

The handheld scanner highlighter thing is a nice little gadget but I don’t really need it yet. I haven’t found any uses for it but I suppose once I start my MBA I’ll have more uses for this tool. I tried it out and the OCR didn’t seem so great. It got most of the words correctly but it misread a lot here and there. So I guess the verdict is still out on this one. I would not recommend this for now but once I start my MBA, maybe my mind will change. I will be sure to let you all know if that happens.

So for the first time in many weeks, I don’t have anything that I’m waiting for. That’s good though…I can focus on reading my 10 day MBA book…:)
